Arrest Affidavit Reveals New Details
GARLAND, Texas (CNN) — The man accused of serving as a getaway driver for his teenage son who allegedly killed three other teens and wounded another at a Texas convenience store in 2021 has been arrested, according to police. A 14-year-old was also arrested Monday in connection with the shooting.
Officers responded to the scene in Garland northeast of Dallas just after 7:30 p.m. according to the police department in the suburban city. They found four males inside the store who had been shot, one of whom was pronounced dead at the scene. The other three victims were transported to area hospitals, where two of them later died.
Police are still searching for the 14-year-old boy accused of fatally shooting the three teenagers at a gas station in Garland. An arrest affidavit reveals that the suspect allegedly fired a gun multiple times inside the store, striking the victims.
The suspect's father, who was allegedly driving the getaway car, has been charged with capital murder.
