Veteran NBA Official Leaves Court After Suffering Leg Injury
In a shocking turn of events, veteran NBA referee Tony Brothers was forced to exit the game between the Minnesota Timberwolves and Chicago Bulls late in the third quarter on Wednesday night in Norfolk, Virginia. Brothers, who has officiated over 1,500 NBA games during his illustrious career, suffered a leg injury after a collision with a player.
The incident occurred with just under three minutes remaining in the third quarter. As Brothers attempted to call a foul on a Bulls player, he collided with the player's knee. Brothers immediately grimaced in pain and fell to the ground, clutching his leg. Trainers rushed to his aid and assisted him off the court.
